I have the following used
reptile items available:
  I'm
cutting back some of my reptile book collection. I have put together two
packages, one is made up of the less expensive books, and is a great starter
package, or just all around package for someone who wants some more books. The
second package is the 'collector's items, and there are some real classics in
there.
Let's start with the basic package. There are twenty-one items, and
two 'throw ins'. Most are in average good condition, and some are new or like
new, as noted below. The average used cost for the group is about two-hundred
dollars. I am pricing this package to go, to make a great deal for someone. I
will also include shipping in the continental U.S. via Media Mail, with
delivery confirmation and insurance, in the price.

Here's the 'collector's' group. I will try
these as a group to see if anyone wants them all in one shot. If I don't find
anyone who wants them I will consider individual sales, but I really don't want
to spend the time doing that if possible, and if I do, the prices will likely
be a lot closer to the 'market price' I am seeing on places like Amazon. I took
individual pictures of the books, and a few I took more than one picture. There
are twelve items total, plus the three 'throw ins'. The average used cost for
this group is approaching $1,000. I know that sometimes you can find lower
prices advertised for some of these, but try to actually purchase the book for
that price. As a group lot, I am going to price these at about one-half the
price I see listed for these individually. I will also include shipping in the
continental U.S. via Media Mail, with delivery confirmation and insurance, in
the price.

Ohaus model 730-00 triple beam balance with aluminum animal
basket. This unit is like new, with extremely low mileage. Capacity is 610g,
and this can be expanded to 2610g with accessory weight set (not included), if
need be. I finally got tired of struggling to weigh various animals and got
this unit, and it makes life a lot easier. These retail in the area of
$140-$160. I have one unit available. Shipping and handling with insurance, via
UPS ground service, in the continental U.S., is $18.

Ranco model ETC111-000 thermostat. These are now well-known to
just about everyone. With cords they retail for around $75. I use these for
heaters and coolers, and for high temp failure cutoffs for heat tape and other
heating sources. These are equipped with cords (which is how I purchased them
at a show), so they are 'ready to go'. As I was told, please have a qualified
electrician check the wiring before use, of course. I have three of these
available right now, and they all have little to almost no miles on them. For
those that are unfamiliar with these incredible units, they can be programmed
in seconds for heating or cooling, F or C, desired temperature, and the
increment in degrees. I have never seen a unit that is comparable, and I have
even went to using them for household applications such as my main home cooler,
small space heaters, etc. If you buy two or three I will throw in some extra
power strips, extension cords, and adaptors. Shipping and handling via Priority
Mail with insurance, in the continental U.S., is $10 for the first unit, and $2
for each additional unit.

This is a Helix basic system with an extra power module. The basic
system is rated for 500 watts, and the extra power module adds another 500
watts of capacity. The basic system retails for $152 and the extra power module
for $69, for a total cost for the system of $221. I have found these to be the
best proportional systems out there, and control all my heat tapes with them,
as well as heat lamps. This unit has very low mileage, and the extra module has
only been tested, but hasn't seen any significant service. I have one unit
available. Shipping and handling via Priority Mail with insurance, in the
continental U.S., is $10.

These are the real classics. They are worth
buying just for the 'collector value'. These are the original Furmont reptile
sexing probes, made from the high-quality dental stainless steel. They are
truly lifetime quality. There are five probes for snakes of all sizes except
tiny babies, but I don't probe those anyway. They even come with the original
case with the Furmont label on it. If I didn't have so much extra stuff
everywhere I'd keep these as a collector's item. I have one set available.
Shipping and handling via Priority Mail with insurance, in the continental
U.S., is $10.

Another true classic here, an original BJ
Specialties pinky pump. This is where it all started for many of us 'old
timers'. If you don't know the history on this then you aren't a 'lifer', so
you don't know why this is such a classic. And, of course, if you do I am
preaching to the choir. This unit still works great, and like the Furmont
sexing probes, it's a lifetime unit. Replace out the little o-ring every so
often and it's ready for another slew of babies. The same thing goes as for the
probes, if I didn't have so much stuff I'd mount it in a frame on my wall
somewhere. Ah, the memories. I have one unit available. Shipping and handling
via Priority Mail with insurance, in the continental U.S., is
$10.

Please note:
I only have one of most of these items. If it so
happens that two (or more) people place an order with PayPal to buy before I
get a chance to remove a sold item from this page, priority goes to the first
person to place their order, and I will reverse the PayPal transaction of the
latter order(s). I want it to be clear that there is no guarantee the item is
still available, although my intention is to update this page as soon as
possible after any sales.
